A Call for Frames…
So I have this addiction. I collect too many frames. But that is not the issue at hand. This issue is I need MORE! So if you know of anyone, or are one such individual, who is in possession of a quantity of frames anywhere from 1 - 1000 and want to donate them to me, please do so. I fix broken frames, repaint then, repurpose them, and am learning to mat cut so they look extra beautiful. Thank you!

I made this hard drive holder from a sample knit patch I made. Super awesome. I keep it closed with a kilt pin! <3

I upcycled an old frame last week, this week I matted and framed one of the best photos I have ever taken. I made this frame by taking a wood frame with no glass and inserting a silver metal frame inside. The silver frame just fit and makes an awesome layered look.

As part of my interest in reconnecting with people in my life (both online and in person) I have decided tonight that I am going to start posting all of my fun craft projects. More than just a portfolio of sorts, I am hoping so some day make a nice living both as web goddess and craft-master.

Here are a few journals I’ve made over the past year that I am very fond of. Three were commissions for friends.

Set of Three Handmade Collages.
Black frames.
Mod Podge.
For Sale.

Decoupage Collage with Mod Podge.
All made as gifts for family and friends.
I do custom Silhouettes (including people, not just animals).
I also do custom collages (still have enough to make another Pooh).

I made these corks boards out of cork tiles and old pictures frames (painted black). They are now hanging over my desk. I love them! They are so much prettier than other cork boards.

For a long time now I’ve been making homemade envelopes as gifts to family and friends. I would like to sell these envelopes to others.

Here are examples of envelopes made with magazine paper.

Enjoy.

This is a mini collage I made several years ago from a small red and blue sparkle frame, a mini doll cut out from a design magazine and some scrapbook paper. I didn’t know about Mod Podge at the time, so I was using glue stick to hold it all together. Don’t judge me. =P

today’s post is brought to you by the letter B as in ballerific birdhouse.

on my day off i like to spend my time crafting. today, instead of mod podge and paper i chose paints and stencil for my birdhouse. i think it looks nice. but it has little selling potential. once it fully dries I will coat it with mod podge for the glossy, lasting effect.

MINI! These are my favorites.

What I Learned In Virginia…
1. Nothing worth doing is worth doing without love.
2. I will never live in a city without a Wegmans (or past the Mason-Dixon line).
3. My family is a mixture of the tragic, the inspirational, the lazy, the dedicated, and the loving.
4. Banana Pudding = Incredible. (No one makes it like Mamaw).
5. I will take more road trips to visit friends and family. I love the open road.
6. Dogs really are man’s best friend. Even the ugliest.
7. My cousins, aunts, uncles, grand-parents, siblings, parents, nieces and nephews are very proud of my accomplishments.
8. Football isn’t as bad as I previously thought. I don’t mind watching it.
9. I really need a better digital camera. Maybe a DSLR. Still a Nikon. D90 perhaps. Yes?
10. Photography is the greatest gift one generation can give to another.
11. I will remin faithful to my stance - I will NEVER have children. Not if I can help it.
12. You are never too old to enjoy coloring books, crayons, or Hello Kitty.
13. There IS such a thing as too much T.V. (and too much reading).
14. I cannot fully disconnect from the world. I love the internet and my friends.
15. Constipation is a bitch. I don’t care how you wrap it - pooping feels great.
